I’m Not Keeping Score…

November 16th, 2005 · 1 Comment

…nice to meet you.

Let me back up: welcome to the opening day of me on the World Wide Web. (I know, I know: took me long enough.)

This site is intended to explore the thoughts and observations on such disconnected subjects as writing, Whiskey, branding and advertising, online dating, linguistics, fresh squeezed juice, magazines, street signs and possibly graffiti, human connection / disconnection, San Francisco in all her glory, and being a human being.

Might it be a little haphazard? Yes. Might it wander into tangents disconnected? Sure. But it’s about being able to write without the constant need to define, catagorize, label, sort or count. It’s about the freedom to explore; about the continually-surprising way that life doesn’t seem to map to anything at all; about the curious tendency for there to be more comfort in chaos than order.

Essentially, it’s about the surrendering to, well, a non-scored, non-calibrated, non-measured experience. All done without the usual frenetic pseudo-neurotic struggle to bring it all together. Okay, I admit. I’ll probably *try* to bring it all together. But I don’t have to, because I’m not keeping score.
