The Railyard Performance Space in Santa Fe is confirmed for a production of my solo performance BURST the weekend of September 10th/11th! Venue and dates have changed! Sept 17/18 and 24/25 at the Santa Fe Performing Arts Center.
Also, got confirmation that I’ll be performing a condensed version of BURST and co-hosting an improv workshop as the “keynote speaker” at the Consumer Wellness Conference in ABQ September 29th/30th.

Some great things are afoot: it looks like I might have an opportunity to bring my solo performance BURST back to the Land of Enchantment for a little more New Mexico magic.
I’ve been nominated to perform BURST as the keynote speaker at the only peer-run consumer wellness conference in ABQ. I should hear back on that by the end of the week — cross your fingers!
I’ll also be working and staying in Taos for about 3 weeks, and am looking into venues there and in Santa Fe as well. I figure I will throw possibilities out there and see what sticks.
New Mexico has always captivated me, and remains an incredibly pivotal place. Somehow, when I’m there, beautiful things emerge, productivity flowers, and my bones settle in a dusty calm.

I couldn’t have asked for a better opening of my solo performance “BURST” — double standing ovations both night, full house on Saturday, and some amazing feedback & thank yous. I truly am humbled and honored to have had such a great reception. A huge thanks to everyone who came out and helped make the opening of BURST a success!
Plans are in the works to take the show to Arizona and California, perhaps beyond? …
In the meantime, I’m leaving the magic of New Mexico to see what kind of adventures I can watch (ar)rise in Phoenix. Stay tuned.

Dress rehearsal filled me with a renewed sense of energy. Except for some minor(ish) glitches the dress went smoothly, and it was magic seeing it all come together: the direction, script, blocking, set, lights, and music — this idea that started as a mere burning in my belly over 3 years ago has finally ‘burst’ out into the world with a life of its own.
Here’s to a ‘broken leg’!

I just ran my show all the way through for the first time today in rehearsal. It is finally coming together (phew!) I work on it for about 5-7 hours a day now (memorizing, practicing blocking, rewriting parts that don’t work), in addition to the production aspects (fliers, venue, set, programs, business ads), with 3 hours of rehearsal.
Wake.
Drink water. Green tea. Write. Walk. Drink water. Banana. Sit-ups, push-ups. Meditate. Email. Rehearse. Drink water. Lunch. Pound pavement. Distribute fliers. Call printers. Email. Call videographer. Email. Call lighting tech. Email. Drink water! Email publicist. Dinner. Brush teeth.
Sleep.
